The results are clear, after the deodorization process has been applied, our oils present a 40% less odor, keeping their special properties and composition.
Keybiological is always optimizing and improving the process, in order to adapt our products to the customers and market needs. We produce ozonated oils through biotechnological processes, obtaining a high-quality and stable product with a greater presence of organic molecules. Our ozonated oil has antiseptic, healing and antioxidant properties with unique physical-chemical qualities (smell, color, viscosity).
Our aim is to enhance and adapt the ingredient to our customers needs and their audience. Owing to this, we have developed a new technology in order to reduce the odor while maintaining its versatile benefits. Our ozonated oils suffer a deodorization process in different proportions. Thereby, the composition of the samples after this process was compared by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).
The obtained results were:
- The composition (fatty acid profile and oxidizing products) between treated and untreated samples was not different.
- The odor level of the samples treated with the deodorized process decreased considerably and to a greater extent than the untreated ones.
An ozonated oil with less odor but with the same properties will have greater adaptability in the cosmetics industry.
